TextileTALKS

Textile Territories as Places of Memory. That is the theme of Contextile 2020 and also the one Textile Talks deals with in the 5th edition of the Biennial. The presentations address the matter from very different approaches. From personal memories -the body itself, the clothing that covers it- to the process of creation of the work, the textile geographies, the territories and the communities that inhabit them.
The current global pandemic situation has led us to adjust the own structure of the talks programme, combin-ing face-to-facewith online lectures by artists who will not be able to attend, thus converting the Textile Memory into a territory as global as the world where we live.
Thus, we came to invite all artists, researchers, students, and interested parties to participate in TextileTalk, either in person or online: ZOOM, FaceBook, streaming.
